AIA Announces 2015 Honor Award Recipients

Washington, D.C. – The American Institute of Architects (AIA) selected The Lyceum Fellowship Inc., co-founded by Peter Vincent, FAIA, as the recipients of the 2015 Institute Honors for Collaborative Achievement. The award, to be presented at the 2015 AIA National Convention and Design Exposition in Atlanta, recognizes and encourages distinguished achievements of allied professionals, clients, organizations, architect teams, knowledge communities, and others who have had a beneficial influence on or advanced the architectural profession.

 

The jury for the 2015 Collaborative Achievement Award includes: Donald King, FAIA (Chair), DKA Architecture; Hiroshi Jacobs, Assoc. AIA, Studios Architecture; Michael Pyatok, FAIA, Pyatok Architects; David Trevino, AIA, City of Dallas and Karen E. Williams, AIA, PIVOT Architecture.

Pools comes with perks...

Having that pool as part of a beautiful home sure helps as well.

Featured earlier this year on Hawaii Five-O's "Powehiwehi" episode was one of PVA's Kailua oceanfront estates. This project was designed with a central courtyard, between the main oceanfront residence and a guesthouse, featuring the pool in the center to give off the same clean, modern and hospitable feel you would get at a 5-star resort.

PVA announces one new hire

Mary Schmitt joins PVA as a Project Architect. Mary has a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois and a degree in Horticulture. She has worked on numerous residential and commercial projects, here in Hawaii and on the mainland. Mary will be responsible for leading the project design and technical production and ensuring they are in accordance with the firm's policies, procedures and standards.
