PVA & Armstrong Builders win the 2013 BIA Renaissance Overall Grand Award!

Peter Vincent Architects and Armstrong Builders won the 2013 BIA Renaissance Overall Grand Award in the category of Residential Remodeling!  The project, titled "Subtle Elegance" for the award and titled "Modern Makeover" on PVA website, is a beautiful example of the success of the PVA & Armstrong team.  Our project was one of four Overall Grand Awards given, out of approximately 40 entries.

The residential renovation created a continuity of harmonious living for the owners that incorporated sustainable design, new mauka-makai views, natural ventilation, openness and an enhanced ambiance that blurs the home's boundaries.

Ko'a Kea Hotel & Resort Press

After several decades of devastation by Hurricane Iniki, PVA had the opportunity to bring back to life the former Poipu Beach Hotel, one of Kauai’s oldest hotels.  Since the reconstruction and renovation, the boutique resort has received awards and press to achieve fame that rivals the brand-name hotels that can be at least 10-times larger in size! 

Pacific Edge Magazine has unknowingly complemented PVA's design results in this month's publication, by proclaiming that "ever since the multi-million dollar reconstruction and renovation in 2009, the resort has risen to the national spotlight garnering award after award from premier publications..."

Travel + Leisure magazine recommended the tranquil, boutique resort as the best place to stay on Kauai, and Ko'a Kea also made Condé Nast Traveler's HOT LIST: Editors' picks of world's best NEW hotels.  Condé Nast Traveler also designated Ko'a Kea as #18 in Hawaii's Best Resorts. Additionally, it has been praised by the following publications as recently as this month: Hawaii Modern Luxury, Pacific Edge, Honolulu Star Advertiser, Building Industry, Hawaii Business, Travel Age West, The Garden Island and more.

Wailupe Circle Residence wins 2012 BIA Renaissance Editor's Choice Award

 PVA's Wailupe Circle Residence won the 2012 BIA Renaissance Award of Editor's Choice. The residence is featured on the cover of Hawaii Home & Remodeling. A quote from the article, given by the couple who decided to renovate and rebuild their Honolulu home: "We chose the general contractor and the architectural firm based on their proven history of outstanding work, high integrity and professional can-do attitude. They were a great team that produced a wonderful luxury home within the budget." 

Quoting the article, "When asked if they are pleased with the final product, the homeowners offer an absolute affirmation." The home owner's satisfaction with the project is evident in this quote from the couple, "The biggest compliment to [Peter Vincent Architects] is that if we had another project to do, we would definitely hire the same."
