1. Teacher’s Pet

Graduated from Tulane University School of Architecture in 1991 and received faculty award for outstanding thesis.

2. From New York to Hawaii

Previously worked for MAP / Aldo Rossi Studio di Architettura near Gramercy Park in Manhattan.

3. Fierce Competitor

Received honorable mention awards in two national design competitions (PCI Precast Concrete Open Design, Ideas Competition for St. Paul Minnesota Riverfront).

4. Award Winning Work

Received Honolulu AIA Chapter award of merit for Diamond Head custom residential project.

5. 808 Cribs

Currently working as project designer on large Kahala residential estate.

 

1. Used to be Trained to Kill People with Torpedoes…

Brad spent 8 1/2 years as a Naval Flight Officer. VP-9 TACCO / Mission Commander at Barbers Point Hawaii and Naval Flight Officer Instructor at Pensacola Florida; Deployments to Kadena Okinawa, Misawa Japan, Diego Garcia, and Masirah Oman.

2. The Iron Man

Swim and run competitively for fun. Have completed marathons on four Hawaiian Islands (Big Island, Oahu, Maui, and Kauai).

3. Forget Baseball Cards….

Brad has an extensive Sosaku Hanga (modern / creative japanese woodblock prints) collection.

4. Artistic Abilities

Paint in watercolor (studied and exhibited in student show at National Academy of Design in New York), and oils; also experiment in woodblock prints and collage.

5. Inspired by…

Favorite Architects - Le Corbusier (of course), Clark and Menefee (when they were still working together), Walter Pichler, and Aldo Rossi.
