PVA Project Tour

PVA embarked upon a site visit tour of two of its projects: one that is already completed and one that is still under construction.  The first project visited was the Bank of Hawaii 6th Floor, where our firm could see exactly how its hard work paid off.  The results were spectacular.  The second project is a residence currently under construction, and PVA marveled at the intricacies of a large residential construction project.

A Conversation on Honolulu's Best Buildings on Dec. 5

AIA Honolulu members and the general public are invited to join a conversation on Honolulu's Best Buildings on Wednesday, December 5 from 5:30-6:30pm at the AIA Honolulu Center for Architecture.  The panel consists of Mayumi Hara, AIA, Spencer Leineweber, FAIA, and Peter Vincent, AIA.  The conversation will be moderated by HONOLULU Magazie editor A. Kam Napier.  It will feature architects and other professionals from the Hawaii design and building community as they discuss superlative architecture in Honolulu and what makes good design.

PVA's Brad Ladwig has been promoted to Senior Associate

Brad Ladwig has been promoted to Senior Associate at Peter Vincent Architects. A graduate of Tulane University School of Architecture in 1991, he received the faculty award for "Outstanding Thesis." Previously, Brad was employed by MAP / Aldo Rossi Studio di Architettura near Gramercy Park in New York. He received honorable mention awards in two national design competitions (PCI Precast Concrete Open Design, Ideas Competition for St. Paul Minnesota Riverfront), and also received the Honolulu AIA Chapter award of merit for Diamond Head Custom Residential Project. His design and painting work has been exhibited in group shows at the Bronx Museum and the National Academy of Design.

Brad joined the firm in 2003, and this month he celebrates his 9th anniversary with PVA.

Arnie Valero Promoted to QC/Technical Manager at Peter Vincent Architects

Arnie Valero has been promoted to QC/Technical Manager at PVA. Arnie joined the firm in October 2008 as Senior Project Architect with over 20 years of experience in Project Management. He holds a B.S. in Architecture from Adamson University, Manila, Philippines.

Arnie's projects of note include the Kahala Estate and the Moana Surfrider Wedding Facility.

Peter Vincent Architects Announces Two Promotions

Max Guenther has been appointed to Partner at Peter Vincent Architects. Guenther has been with the firm for 12 years and has over 24 years of experience. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Kansas State University. His most recent project of note is the renovation of the Koa Kea Hotel & Resort on the island of Kauai.

Lupe Zarate has been promoted to Associate. Zarate joined PVA in June 2005 and has since been a driving force on our Project Management team. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University in New York. Her most recent projects of note include, Milici Valenti Ng Pack Office Renovation, Park Shore Waikiki and various residential projects.
